Voiceitt supports users with non-standard speech. This means Voiceitt can be used by individuals with various diagnoses that may impact their speech.

Some of those diagnoses are Cerebral Palsy (CP), Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), Parkinson's disease (PD), Motor Neurone Disease (MND), multiple sclerosis (MS), muscular dystrophy (MD), Huntington's disease (HD), deaf or hard of hearing and more.

In a nutshell, Voiceitt is best suited for:
• Individuals who find that standard speech-recognition software does not always understand them due to their speech impairment.
• Individuals with impaired speech who are generally understood by familiar listeners but less understood by unfamiliar listeners.

Voiceitt is software that learns your speech patterns and uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) to interpret your non-standard speech. It is a web-based application you can use directly from the browser on your smart phone, tablet, and desktop device.

Voiceitt is ideal for individuals who have consistent pronunciation, but have difficulty being understood by others. have intact language (they say what they intend). experience mild to moderate severity; they can be understood by familiar listeners but not unfamiliar listeners. are socially motivated and interested in exploring new technology!

Yes. Voiceitt works on the web, so internet access is required.

Yes, a minimum of 50 phrases must be trained because every person has a unique speech pattern and voice. The system needs to be customised for every new user. The training is used to create a voice model for every user. 

While previously, training used to require a minimum of 200 words, you can now get started using just 50 words! However, in order to make the most of Voiceitt, you are still encouraged to complete as many training words and phrases as possible.

The training phrases are randomised to include short and long phrases. You can skip to the next phrase if it is too challenging. The training phrases also can be adjusted if you are having difficulty with longer phrases.

Yes. There is an option for every sentence to play aloud automatically after you say it. Once you have finished dictating your thoughts, there is an option to play the entire text aloud by clicking "play all." You may also copy the text and paste it to an email or word processing software.

One! Since Voiceitt is custom-built for each individual, everyone who wishes to experience this technology must create and use their own email account.

The age requirement for parental consent has been raised from 13 to 16 years old. This means parental consent will be required for all new users under the age of 16.

All Voiceitt users will have the ability to opt out of sharing their recordings commercially. This excludes sharing information with tech partners (like us!) for support purposes.

Yes, but a Microsoft business or school Teams account is required.

Voiceitt Captions works as a Microsoft Teams meeting app, which means it can only be used with work or school (tenant based) Microsoft accounts.

Personal Microsoft 365 or free Teams accounts do not support the framework Voiceitt relies on.

Why is a business account required?
• Personal Teams accounts have limited support
• Third party and meeting embedded are disabled on personal accounts
• Voiceitt uses Microsoft Teams meeting app features that are only enabled for business tenants

How to use Voiceitt in Teams:
• Set up a Microsoft business Teams account
• Install the Voiceitt Captions app
• Host the Teams meeting from the business account
• Other participants can still join using personal or free Teams accounts and view the captions

Lowest cost Microsoft licence options that support Voiceitt:
• Microsoft Teams Essentials: Business Teams access without business email
• Microsoft 365 Business Basic: Includes business email and Office web apps

If Voiceitt does not appear in your Teams app list, it usually means you’re signed in with a personal Teams account rather than a business one.

Yes, NDIS funds can be for subscription products in accordance with the NDIS Pricing and Arrangement Guide (Page 40 – Current as on 01/07/2025):

'Subscription services
In some cases, a provider may claim for a service agreed with a participant using a subscription model of payment. In these cases, the participant is paying to be able to use that service (on the terms/hours agreed) for the period of the subscription.'

Subscriptions may only be used for the supply of the following supports: Consumables (Support Category 03) and Assistive Technology (Support Category 05).

Low-Cost Assistive Technology includes items below the value of $1500 dollars. If you have access to the low-cost AT, it will be under your 'Core Supports' budget. You can check this on your NDIS plan or contact your coordinator/therapist to find out if you have the budget.

There are a few ways to do this:
 1. You can discuss with your support coordinator or clinician to request a plan review to increase your low-cost AT funding under your budget.
2. You can discuss with your support coordinator or clinician to check if you can access the funds from your capital AT budgets.

The process differs slightly depending on your NDIS Plan, however you can typically expect:

• Self-Managed – Request a Quote/Invoice or pay for it Online. Claim funding through NDIS Portal.
• Plan- Managed – Request a Quote/Invoice. Share it with your plan manager, ask them to check your budget to determine if funding is available for purchase through your low-cost AT.
• Agency Managed – Request a Quote/Invoice and email this to this quote/invoice to invoices@superyoutech.au and provide approval for Superyou Tech to make an NDIS service booking on your/ your client’s behalf to secure payment. Superyou Tech is a NDIS registered AT provider.

You do not need to provide any evidence or otherwise seek approval for any low cost AT purchase if it is below $1500. However, it is still recommended you seek advice from your allied health professional to ensure this is the right technology for you.
